Cash In on the Free $500K Rockstar Is Offering for the Glitchy GTA 5 Online

With the bombardment of technical issues that have plagued GTA Online since its inauguration, it hasn't been easy to enjoy stealing cars and killing hookers with all your friends.

To quell some of the anger and win back the love of their players, Rockstar has just announced that they'll be giving a $500,000 "stimulus package" to each online player—for free.

Sure beats blowing up cocaine trucks.

To Qualify for the $500K Stimulus Package

But not everyone will be getting their five hundred thousand in Grand Theft Auto Online. There are a couple requirements in order to get the free cash, which are the following.

  • Must play or have played GTA 5 Online at any time during the month of October. You still have plenty of time to get this requirement out of the way, so what are you waiting for?
  • Must install a future GTA V title update (1.04). This is expected to be next week sometime, and it will fix most of the remaining issues at hand. If you don't install this update when it comes out, they will have no way to pay you your stimulus.

When You'll Get Your GTA $$$

The installments of money will be made in two separate deposits of $250,000 each to keep everything economically balanced in-game. While the announcement for when the money will come has not officially been made yet, the first installment should come as early as next week, with the second coming sometime later this month.

Rockstar will announce when the deposits are made, which will automatically appear in your GTA Online bank account, requiring no additional work on your part.

Now, if only we could all get a stimulus package for the glitchy government we've been having.
